Drew Estate Tobacco Company is located in the famous Esteli Valley of Northern Nicaragua. Perched at the valley’s mountain crest, our “Grand Fabric” majestically overlooks one of Nicaragua’s most respected tobacco Plantations – including acre after acre of Cuban Seed, hand nurtured tobaccos of different varieties, as well as traditional style Curing Barns.
Starting with a humble 6 rollers, Drew Estate has made its mark on the Hand Made cigar industry during the last 8 years, and now stands as one of the worlds largest and most respected. While we have grown to over 800 people at the factory (excluding farms or curing), our Roots are in “Small Batch” production, and we refuse to stray from this Mantra.
In fact, every single cigar is entirely made by hand (“Hecho-a-Mano”), using no machines or hand bunchers or draw testing machines of any kind. Instead, we rely on our experienced staff to meticulously supervise the artisans throughout each day. During the Cigar Safari Tour, guests are encouraged to engage the Supervisors and Artisans alike, asking questions both simple and complex. Drew Estate’s greatest strength is in its people, and secondly, in its tobacco. Those who have come to know us can attest that our company slogan is a fusion that encapsulates our truly unique identity… “The Rebirth of Cigars”.
Cigar Safari provides Cigar Aficionados Worldwide to experience our unique cigar culture by touring our facilities during this “4 Day Adventure”, and even on the “One Day Tour.” The secrets, intrigue, and mystery of the Drew Estate Cigar Company await your arrival at the Managua Airport, where your journey just begins. Our Deluxe Hotel Cabanas were designed by Jonathan Drew, personally, for comfort, privacy, cleanliness and security. Our staff is first class and caring “Estelianos”, that appreciate our guests – even the finicky ones. And finally, we manage your entire tour, from the moment that you go through Nicaragua’s Airport Security through your stay at our Hotel Cabanas at the Gran Fabric.
